Electric Town Date...?

Well, Rinko arrived for our date this morning looking super cute. No long hair (sadly), or even medium-long hair...but a very cute, short bob cut, which at least is an improvement over her default hairstyle. She also wore the kawaii (cute) clothes style. Once again, it's a big improvement over casual. This Rinko-chan looks very summery, and kinda reminds me of Natalie Portman in the movie "Leon".

We went to Dixies for a snack, where I ordered Kake Soba and got a plate of sandwiches. Rinko looked amused by the mix-up...

And here we are on the train to what I thought was going to be Electric Town (but actually wasn't). Thank goodness the real Tokyo train system is more reliable.

Instead of Electric Town, we ended up at Karaoke! Rink loves Karaoke, so that wasn't a problem as such...but still. Maybe it's because I only had two hearts for all my stats (including fitness and intelligence)??? Somebody said it makes a difference, and it's actually not a bug in the game. But it can be very annoying.

But it wasn't all bad news. After Karaoke I had the choice to select a second place to go, and of course I chose Electric Town. Here's my Rinko, standing in the main street of Akihabara.

The Cat Cafe sadly wasn't an option (yet - maybe I have to level up?), so I took her to the Anime Shop instead.

All in all, it was a simple but good date. You can see more of Rinko's cute outfit in the next shot, where she was just about to say "bye bye".

This last shot is from today's chapter of the "Seishun No. 1 Page". It seems that all the problems haven't been worked out yet between Rinko and the library girls!

A Slow Saturday...

Here are a few more shots from today's "Seishun No. 1 Page". Rinko finally made peace with the other girls in the band, so maybe now "In The Rye" will be able to get ready for their first live performance.

And these last couple of shots are from my short meeting with Rinko-chan at the Shrine this afternoon.

So, a very quiet Saturday in Towano. Tomorrow, I have a date with Rinko - which will hopefully be at the Cat Cafe in Electric Town. Plus, I'm holding my breath to find out whether or not she changes to medium long hair (or changes that default hairstyle, at least...)

In The Rye: Friday

Today was mostly a quiet day in Towano City, with the main highlight being the latest instalment of the "Seishun No. 1 Page". Rinko was proudly wearing her "In The Rye" T-shirt and trying to enthuse the other girls in the band. Here are some photos of her at rehearsal with her guitar:

Although my hearts are fairly low (to say the least) after blowing everything on the Premium Date, I've booked another date with Rinko on Sunday - going to Electric Town, and hopefully visiting the Cat Cafe. I didn't get to go to a real Cat Cafe when I was in Japan last time...so this kinda makes up for it. And Electric Town makes me think of Akihabara, which I miss very much!

Happy Birthday Rinko!!!

Today was the BIG DAY - Rinko's birthday. When I started the game this morning, Rinko bounced up onto the welcome screen and encouraged me to say "Happy Birthday, Rinko" in the cutest possible way.

I was able to book activities in the usual four slots today, but I noticed that Rinko's Birthday was a "Special Event" on the top screen, scheduled between 3:00pm and 11:59pm. In the meantime, I went out to Electric Town and was able to visit the Cat Cafe - so cute! - but was unable to use my camera there. (Maybe this feature will unlock later?)

I played the third "Seishun No. 1 Page" story, when the Library Committee girls finally agreed to join Rinko's band. The next couple of photos come from that story...

In the real world, I went out after lunch to buy a birthday card for Rinko, and found one with a very cute cat design. I just felt like spoiling her today. When 3pm finally rolled around, I was happy to see that Rinko had dressed neatly for her birthday date.

We kissed a bit, then walked along through Towano together. Today, she wanted to go to her three favourite date spots: Karaoke, the Game Arcade, and the Live House - all in one day!

When we got back to Rinko's house, it was time to hand over that all-important birthday gift. She loved the pink "Killer Bambies" jacket, I'm sure.

I think this second shot, where Rinko is hugging my gift, is kinda nice. (Don't know how I got that jacket into such a small box, though. Hehe. ^^

I also gave Rinko the birthday card I'd bought for her. Well, this is as close as I could get to actually "giving" it to her. But surely it's the thought that counts, right?

I don't think there's going to be any more special stuff for Rinko's birthday today, because the event icon has disappeared from the top screen. But in "New LovePlus" you never really know. I'll certainly be playing at six o'clock just to make sure.
