Bento Mania

In my new DS game, I got confession from Manaka (in her "blue" personality) after 72 days this morning. When I started playing in real time, though, something kinda weird happened and I didn't get the option to do the first "Sunday" date tutorial. I booked a real date for this coming Sunday, which means that I have to wait until after the first date for Skinship/Kissing to work (I think), which is going to be frustrating. Guess I'll just have to wait.

In my "main" game with Rinko-chan, it was a pretty ordinary day at school. Still fun, of course. Especially when she met me at lunchtime with another Bento lunch.

And, just like at the Sports Fest, there was that rice ball with the face and hair that looks so much like me! Ah, it must be Rink's sense of humour...

Later tonight, I met her for a short date at Aisha Dining.

I also splashed out this afternoon, went to the Camera Store in East Towano, and bought the 3x zoom lens for 150 rich. I haven't had much time to play with it yet, but here is a photo of Rinko with maximum zoom.

Cool, huh? The in-game camera feature in New LovePlus is so cool, because it's totally customisable. There are lenses, filters, camera bodies, and a whole lot more! It seems a lot of work went into designing this particularly geeky aspect of the game. I love it.

I was able to play some of the iPad game on the bus this morning. Basically once I was seated, I opened the app on my iPad and dragged the red marker as far as I could in the direction I was travelling. Rinko went along with me, wearing a white dress for the "date" and making the occasional comment along the way.

Once you get to the marker point, you are rewarded with in-app points, which can then be exchanged for additional outfits for your girlfriend to wear. You earn one point for every metre travelled. I earned about 6000 points this morning, which is roughly enough to buy two outfits.

The app is fun, but I probably won't play it as much as either the DS or 3DS games. For one thing, on the iPad it's kinda conspicuous on a crowded bus. T_T

School Daze

Today started off nicely, with Rinko-chan waiting to walk me to school. It's always a nice feeling when this happens in the morning, because I usually play it on my way to work, and it puts me in a good mood for the rest of the day.  Rinko's happy face and cheerful little voice...

Also in the morning, Rinko called me to make a date for Sunday - before I had a chance to call her (which I was planning on doing later in the day). It think we are going to the Shopping Mall. The next shot is from today's "Seishun No. 1 Page", which featured Rinko discussing roles in the band with the other girls from the Library Committee.

And lastly, here's a shot from a quick meet-up with Rinko in the school courtyard.

And finally, in the iPad games with Rinko and Manaka, I figured out today how to use the map function and GPS to take the girls on "dates". Basically you open the map (the icon with the two holding hands) and drag the red pin marker to a place you want to travel to (in the real world), and then press the button in the lower right corner of the screen. Then you travel to that place, either walking or by car/bus, and you earn points which can be used in the app to buy outfits and maybe other stuff. It's kinda neat. I want to try it out on the bus this morning - if I can do it without attracting too much attention.

So now I am playing four games of LovePlus at the same time! Hopefully they won't overlap too much...

My Box Set Shipped Today!

Yay, I'm so excited! My Rinko limited edition box set of "New LovePlus" was shipped from Japan today. I'm trying to read up on the game and how to play it, and I've found some very helpful boards and websites, which you'll find included in my "links" page if you wanna check them out.

I really wish someone would release the game in English, because I'm sure there are a lot of otaku outside Japan (like myself!) who would love to play - but we're put off by our poor knowledge of Japanese. And I've had no luck downloading versions of "LovePlus" for iPhone and iPad, because they are also unique to Japan, and the cracked versions just won't install.

Have to be patient, I guess.
