Bento Mania

In my new DS game, I got confession from Manaka (in her "blue" personality) after 72 days this morning. When I started playing in real time, though, something kinda weird happened and I didn't get the option to do the first "Sunday" date tutorial. I booked a real date for this coming Sunday, which means that I have to wait until after the first date for Skinship/Kissing to work (I think), which is going to be frustrating. Guess I'll just have to wait.

In my "main" game with Rinko-chan, it was a pretty ordinary day at school. Still fun, of course. Especially when she met me at lunchtime with another Bento lunch.

And, just like at the Sports Fest, there was that rice ball with the face and hair that looks so much like me! Ah, it must be Rink's sense of humour...

Later tonight, I met her for a short date at Aisha Dining.

I also splashed out this afternoon, went to the Camera Store in East Towano, and bought the 3x zoom lens for 150 rich. I haven't had much time to play with it yet, but here is a photo of Rinko with maximum zoom.

Cool, huh? The in-game camera feature in New LovePlus is so cool, because it's totally customisable. There are lenses, filters, camera bodies, and a whole lot more! It seems a lot of work went into designing this particularly geeky aspect of the game. I love it.

I was able to play some of the iPad game on the bus this morning. Basically once I was seated, I opened the app on my iPad and dragged the red marker as far as I could in the direction I was travelling. Rinko went along with me, wearing a white dress for the "date" and making the occasional comment along the way.

Once you get to the marker point, you are rewarded with in-app points, which can then be exchanged for additional outfits for your girlfriend to wear. You earn one point for every metre travelled. I earned about 6000 points this morning, which is roughly enough to buy two outfits.

The app is fun, but I probably won't play it as much as either the DS or 3DS games. For one thing, on the iPad it's kinda conspicuous on a crowded bus. T_T

Sports Fest...And A Date

Today was the Sports Fest at Towano High, and the athletics field was decorated for the occasion:

Rinko was wearing her sports uniform, and tried her best...but, like me, I don't think sport is high on her list of priorities.

Actually, the best part of the day was lunchtime. Rinko sat close to me...

And then she very shyly brought out a bento (boxed lunch) that she'd made for me. It's weird, but one of the rice balls is decorated with a face that looks exactly like me - hairstyle and everything!

The rest of the day was pretty uneventful. In the late afternoon, Rinko and I joined in the folk dancing to end off the event.

For our date at 6:00 pm, Rinko arrived wearing a pretty blue knit two-piece. I think this is her "kawaii" (cute) clothing style, and it's a big improvement over her casual style. I've decided to only let Rinko wear either the "cute" or "neat" clothing styles this time around. Casual is banned. She sported a new, short hairstyle, too - which is also better than her default 'do.

We started off with a bite at Dixies. Rinko wasn't impressed with going there, but she enjoyed the food anyway.

Then it was off on the train to East Towano.

We walked along in the sunset and looked at the tall buildings of Towano city in the background.

Our date was at the Art Gallery. Rinko surprised me by suggesting this spot for our date (after turning down my two suggestions), because I know she doesn't like going there much.

Anyway, with our dose of "culture" out of the way, we stopped into the Wasyoku Restaurant (traditional Japanese food) for dinner.

My poor little baby girl was tired out, and fell asleep on the way home on the train.

Rinko revived when we got back to Towano, and I gave her a present to celebrate our very first date. It was a checked hat that I'd got with one of the 100 rich password protect items - but she absolutely loved it.

At the end, Rinko surprised me again by coming back to my place after the date and hanging out for a bit. It IS only our first date in the new game after all. We studied together and got up to the Intimate Photo Session (but, wouldn't you know - my photos were all gone by then). I did manage to grab one shot of Rink wearing a Maid Cafe cosplay outfit, which she'd changed into after I won the second round of study questions.

Thank goodness for the "New LovePlus Official Guide", which lets me look up the answers. Hehe. It was a nice date, and I actually made it up to Level 3 today (after only four days of play).

Preparing For The Sports Fest

I was pretty busy in the real world today, so I'm only posting a few quick snaps from today's game. In the "Seishun No. 1 Page", Rinko continues trying to negotiate with the other girls in the Library Committee. This next shot shows a rare background: part of the Library that you don't see very often (and a flustered-looking Rin-chan).

Rinko and I are probably the least sporty students at Towano High School, but we spent two sessions today getting ready for tomorrow's Sports Festival.

I was hoping to visit the Camera Shop and buy the 20-shot memory card for my in-game camera (300 rich!), but when I got there I could only buy the 12-shot card, because I hadn't levelled up the Camera Shop. Oh well, it will have to do for now (plus, it's a whole 200 rich cheaper).

Well, it should be a busy day tomorrow, with the Sports Fest taking up most of the day and then a date with Rinko at night. Happy days. Now the next thing I have to do is get rid of that default hairstyle of Rinko's...

A Brand New Life

Well, I got up VERY early this morning and finished "friend mode" with Rinko. I had that weird dream sequence after just 56 days, and she confessed her love to me two days later (Day 58). Wow. I think that must be some kind of record.

I feel that I'm not starting a new game with Rinko at all, but rather I'm resuming the very first one. Maybe she knows that, too, and that's why she confessed to me so quickly. Whatever. It feels great to be back. Here are some highlights from our very first day back together...

In the next couple of shots, Rinko is practising for the Sports Festival coming up at Towano High School this Sunday.

And again, though the days at school, I'm just trying to meet up with Rinko in as many different places around Towano High as possible, to level them up. Here's the Courtyard:

The school corridor:

And the Library (where Rinko works on the Library Committee):

And we finished up the day with a short date at Fountain Park (always a favourite date location):
