Karaoke Date

Today's date was a lot of fun. The experience of dating in the new version of the game is much smoother than NLP, and the various scenes (including skinship and kissing) flow into each other without the jerkiness, delays and lag time that were so evident in the 3DS game. Dates seem to take longer to play now, though, with the average Sunday date taking just under an hour - and considerably longer if the date extends.

When I met Rinko at the station this morning, she was wearing her hair in a new, cute style (still short, though). Her clothes were a little more casual than I like, but still okay, so I let them pass.

We went to the Ramen Shop for a snack. I ordered the Pork Ramen Set, and for some reason Rinko had the same thing (which is unusual). The set included a plate of gyoza which looked absolutely delicious.

The main part of our date was Karaoke, which is a firm favourite of Rinko's. I wonder what songs she would choose to sing??

With the option of a second date location, I took Rin to the Amusement Park, where we rode on the Jet Coaster. She loved it.

Then our date was over, and it was time to take Rinko home. I walked her back to her place and kissed her goodbye.

At 12:00 noon I visited the Flea Markets at Fountain Park, where I bought a CD and my first Premium Date ticket (for the night-time Sakura viewing).

Later today we had a short date in the rain.

First Proper Date In NLP+

Today was my first proper date in New LovePlus+ and it was a good one! Backtracking a little bit, I finally made it to the Electronics Store this morning and bought the 12 shot memory card for my in-game camera. Wow, the cards are a lot cheaper this time! The 12 shot card only cost me 60 Rich, and it was about 120 or 150 rich last time. There are memory cards up to 40 shots, but you need to level up the Electronics Store before they're available.

I met Rinko at the station tonight, and she looked very cute wearing a bright green knit top.

We took the train to the Towano Hill Area for our date at the Amusement Park...

But we stopped off first at the Italian Restaurant for dinner. This was a late date for me (I usually date Rinko early on Sunday morning, because it fits my day better that way), so Rinko and I were definitely hungry by 6pm.

I ordered the Pepperoncino Pasta, and Rinko ordered the Mix Pizza (as you can see below), which looked really yummy! I haven't had Italian food IRL for ages.

For such a small girl, Rin-chan had no trouble polishing off a whole pizza. Wow.

Then we walked through the Hill Area together to the Amusement Park.

At night, there is a kind of circus or fair going on at the Amusement Park - not the usual rides you get in the daytime. It looks pretty with all the coloured lights in the background.

After that, we carried right on with a snack at the Japanese Sweet Shop.

I ordered the Bun Set and Rinko ordered the Japanese-style Strawberry Parfait.

Not surprisingly, Rinko fell asleep on my shoulder in the train on the way home.

We walked back through the streets of Shin Towano.

And then, Rinko invited me back to her place for a study session (school starts back tomorrow, after all). I didn't have a lot of photos left, but after two successful study sessions, Rinko dressed up in the pretty angel outfit she wore last Halloween.

All in all, it was a wonderful date (which took over one and a half hours to play). There was plenty of kissing. I have to say again that NLP+ is absolutely the BEST version of this game so far. I'm loving everything about it.

Stylish Date

I had another delightful Sunday date with Rinko today. I always love it when Rinko listens to me (which is not always) and wears the "smart" or "neat" clothing style. In my first game, I had great difficulty controlling the clothes she wore, and she would always revert back to that sloppy "casual" style - which I know Rinko likes, but it honestly doesn't look good on her IMHO.

I've found that the best way to influence her clothing choice, by the way, is during LovePlus Mode. If you beat her at "Rock, Paper, Scissors" and she changes her clothes, Rinko will always ask what clothing style you prefer (and what colour). I used to think that this was just throw-away conversation. But if you persist with it and do LovePlus Mode every day, she actually does change according to your preference in the main part of the game. Otherwise it appears to be pretty random.

Here's the delightful outfit Rin-chan was wearing when she met me at the station:

That's so cute, huh? And underneath, she wore this pretty purple jumper dress and top:

Rinko's hair was back in twin tails, too - which is adorable. We stopped at Aisha Dining for a snack, and Rinko ordered an ice-cream sundae with fruit, which she polished off in record time.

Then we took the train to the Amusement Park.

I almost never date Rinko here, so it was certainly a break from the usual...

After the main part of our date, we checked out the nearby Yakiniku restaurant.

Rinko loved the food so much that she phoned me later tonight and begged me to take her there again. She must have been full, too, because she fell asleep on the train on the way home...

But then our date was over and it was time to kiss Rinko goodbye.

Anyway, that was the date for today! I'd better hit the books now and start studying, because the midterms start up at Towano High tomorrow.

MANAKA: Amusement Park Date

OK, it's official - dating two girls at once in New LovePlus is crazy! I am definitely the tiredest guy in Towano today. It's kinda fun, but I don't know how I'm going to manage in the longer term. Anyway, my first date for the day was Manaka. I met her at the station at 9:00am, and she looked beautiful - new hairstyle (which I love), and her usual classy outfit. This girl is definitely stealing her way further into my heart. ^^

We went to Winning Burger for a quick snack. Despite appearances, Manaka loves fast food for a treat now and then. Though she's the type of girl you'd normally expect to find in a fancy restaurant, if you've played the first part of LovePlus with Manaka, you'll understand the reason why.

Our main date was at the Amusement Park - and I made the bad mistake of choosing to take Mana-chan on the ferris wheel. I think her expression in the next shot (inside the cabin of the ferris wheel) just about says it all.

Note to self: avoid this location with Manaka in the future. Anyway, after striking out once, I had more success with our second meal - at the Italian Restaurant.

Manaka was very impressed with the food, and begged me to take her back to the Italian Restaurant again - which I will most definitely do. In real life, I love Italian food, too - so it's perfect. At the end of our date, I gave Mana-chan a red scarf for a present. She was thrilled with it. After all, the cold weather is coming, and she will need to keep warm. ^^

But the date didn't end there - in fact, it was just getting warmed up. Manaka invited me back to her place for a "study" session. After passing the first round of three questions, she made some cake and a cup of tea for me. So cute when she worried about whether I would like it or not!

After the second round, Manaka dressed up in a pink cosplay outfit for me, complete with twin tails hair. Wow, this is too much. But she reminded me of Momoko from Berryz Kobo. Separated at birth? You be the judge.

And then, after the third round of questions, I had the intimate photo session with Momoko...oops, I mean Manaka. I only had one shot left on my camera (and it's not a great one) - but I discovered something interesting. If you walk around with the camera, you can actually see 360 degrees around the girl's bedroom. I've never tried this before, but it's cool, and I'll try to take some more photos next time.

The last shot is from the third chapter of Manaka's "Seishun No. 1 Page", which I played near the end of the day.

My Cute Stylish Girl

OK, I know it's probably not fair to compare old girlfriend vs. new girlfriend, right? But there were so many times that Rinko used to show up for dates looking...well...kinda like she got dressed in the dark. No matter what style of clothes I asked her to wear, she had no clothing sense at all, and often wore suff that just didn't go together.

But Manaka? Every single time I see her, she looks awesome. Here she is, wearing her "kawaii" (cute) clothes again for today's date when she met me at Shin Towano station:

Wow, I just love the way Mana-chan dresses! And the other huge difference is that she's always ALWAYS nice to me. It's a pleasure to date her, after Rinko being so damn "tsundere" (hot and cold). Anyway, we went to Winning Burger for a snack to get things rolling.

Despite being a princess, Mana-chan's quite happy eating a burger, hehe. Then we got on the train bound for the Towano Hill Area:

Gosh, she's adorable. Anyway, our date was at the Amusement Park, so we checked out the Haunted House again (which Manaka enjoys very much).

Then it was back to the Italian Restaurant, which Mana-chan loved so much last time. And the food worked its charms again this time. ^^

I'm not entirely sure what we ordered (or what we ended up eating), but it looked kinda weird.

Manaka very sweetly offered to share her food with me. How could I refuse?

And then she fell asleep again while we were travelling back on the train. (Maybe because we had two meals in a row???)

Anyway, it was a short date but very sweet. Here's a full-length shot of Manaka, showing off her outfit as she is about to say goodbye.

At lunch, I visited the Flea Markets in Fountain Park and picked up my first Premium Date ticket for Manaka - a couple ticket to a special event at the Art Gallery. I think Manaka will like it. I'll try to build up my stats with a few days of Skip Mode tomorrow and aim for an evening date mid-week.

I had a short meet-up with Manaka this afternoon, but because it was raining our date options were fairly limited (and you can't kiss your girl while she's holding that darned umbrella).
